Park Place sponsors School of the Year at the Comet Sports Awards 2018

Sponsorship demonstrates developer’s commitment to Stevenage




Park Place, the high-profile residential development in the heart of Stevenage Town centre, has sponsored the School of the Year award at the Comet Sports Awards 2018.

The Comet newspaper created the Sports Awards to celebrate sporting achievement in Stevenage. Now in its eighteenth year, the awards include a wide range of categories, including Sports Personality of the Year, Team of the Year and Service to Sport.

The School of the Year Award recognises sporting achievement in the Borough’s schools and the sporting successes of its pupils, both within and outside the curriculum.

Peter Beard, Marketing Manager for Park Place says that sponsoring the award underpins the developer’s commitment to Stevenage. “We want Park Place to be at the centre of the community in Stevenage. It is in the heart of the town centre and demonstrates how redevelopment and regeneration can bring life back onto the town.

“By sponsoring the School of the Year Award we are putting something back into the community, by recognising the fantastic sporting achievements of Stevenage’s schools and pupils.” The Comet Sports Awards 2018 will be presented at a ceremony at Stevenage Arts and Leisure Centre on 1 March 2109.

Stephen McPartland, Member of Parliament for Stevenage, today completed the topping out of Park Place, our £50m residential and retail development located in Stevenage town centre. The official launch of Park Place marks a giant step forward in the regeneration of Stevenage.

Stephen McPartland, MP, said: "Park Place marks another important step forward in the regeneration of Stevenage town centre. The £50m development demonstrates the confidence that investors have in the future of the town.

“It comes on top of the over £300m worth of infrastructure investment I have secured from the government for our schools, hospital, housing and jobs in Stevenage and the surrounding villages.”

Visitors to our new Sales and Marketing Suite can view floorplans, brochures, computer-generated imagery (CGIs) and models of the 202 Manhattan studios, one and two-bedroom homes, starting at £179,950 and is available on government’s ‘help-to-buy’ scheme.
